The Boys Turn 3!

My cousin and his wife are parents of the cutest twin boys on the planet... want proof, behold.

These two celebrated their third birthday party at their local community center.  There were mats, things to bounce on, parachute time, cake and pizza.

A totally great way to celebrate full on toddler-hood.

And a great opportunity for me to practice photographing constantly moving targets.  I had a great day chasing around kids and did my best to photograph every child there, but I narrowed it down to these few to show you.

See... adorable!

Vegas TTD 3

Surprise, Mouse shot Quiche and I at the hotel when we got back from Red Rock.  We got a little inspired by Stripes' menswear inspired post and thought it'd be fun to make the tall girl with short hair (me) wear a blazer.  Mouse, Cola and I crafted my headband and bout that morning in our hotel room.

We sort of ran out of light at Red Rock and the actual red rocks are only in the first 2 miles of the 13 mile scenic drive, so we headed to our hotel and made do.

We got congratulated by a real wedding couple which was great, but we also got quite a few odd stares, not so great.

All in all it was pretty fun.  In case you're wondering where my cheap outfit came from, you're probably not, but maybe.  Blazer: express, Ruffly vest and pencil skirt: H&M, Shoes: Target (super exciting, right...eh).  I strung the pearls myself and I really kinda loved my tulle bow on a ribbon headband.

It was definitely an experience to remember, and here's to the day when two brides walking through a casino isn't that out of place.

Vegas TTD 2

Up first, Hamster.  Her heels were the highest, and once she was perched on the outcropping, it was best to let her stay there.

Look at her adorable stand-in dress (she certainly wasn't going to 'trash' the real one before the wedding).  It goes so well with her huge smile.

Next up, was Quiche.  Looking just as lovely as you'd expect from her gorgeous wedding photos.

Looking coy behind her grocery store bouquet that we put together in the park restroom that we took over before the shoot.

Seriously, one of the sweetest ladies I met on the trip.

And last, but certainly not least, Frenchie.  This girl is a laugh and a half all the time, and I think it shows in her photos.

And the sassy hip pose was definitely in full force.

And I love this last shot.  Looks like she's about to throw her thumb out and hitch a ride 'cuz she's tired of walking in those heels.

A little surprise shoot happened next, after we ran out of daylight.

Oh, and thanks to Quiche for the heads up on the Pioneer Woman action set.  They make photoshop so much more fun.

Vegas TTD 1

I met up with some other bloggers in Vegas and we decided to have some fun with wedding dresses and nature. I photographed Ali (Frenchie), Kristin (Quiche) and Serena (Hamster) at Red Rock Canyon National Park.  We got quite a few comments, odd stares and Frenchie got many congratulations (I think formality of the dresses determines who the 'bride' is).

All of these ladies are awesome and we had such a fun day.

And, obviously, the scenery was gorgeous.

Stay tuned for their solo shots, and a surprise!
